Plus, we strive to foster mastery of life skills  - like problem solving and collaboration - that will prepare your child for success in any endeavor.

About the Center

The Child Development Center has been located on Seton Hill’s main campus in downtown Greensburg, Pa. since 1951. It has its own building, play yard and parking area designed specifically to support the secure development of young children.

Seton Hill Faculty

As a student in our Child Development Center, your child will also have the opportunity to learn from Seton Hill faculty in University facilities. Recent sessions facilitated by Seton Hill faculty included STEAM-based learning, where CDC students learned about science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics through developmentally appropriate activities.

Seton Hill University Education Students 

Seton Hill students earning degrees in education are an integral part of the Center. Under the direction of the Center teachers, the Seton Hill students focus on the promotion of the total development of the children. Seton Hill students have all the necessary clearances to work with young children; many of them are seeking certification in early childhood education. 

Accreditation & Licensing

NAEYC logoThe Child Development Center has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 1994. Accredited programs meet and maintain stringent criteria in areas of health, physical environment, leadership and management, relationships, teaching, curriculum, child assessment, staff and families, and community relationships. Additionally, the Center is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a Private Academic School.
